BOMBING OF DARWIN DAY:
Half Price Entry at Museum for Sunday 19 February, 2012.
Dick Dakeyne (ex RAAF WAG) will give a talk at the Museum
at 12 noon. (see details here).
A new monitor has been installed to show photos of the time of
the Bombing of Darwin. The photos are from the Society's archives.
A revamped P-40 fighter display is being setup at the Museum for the Bombing of Darwin to complement the existing display (this is largely due to the cooperation of local P-40 enthusiast Shane Johnson). The display incorporates a number of parts from the Peres' P-40 crash including the engine, propeller, gear section and tail, other artefacts and a uniformed mannequin.
The B-52 cockpit will be open to the public on the Bombing of Darwin Day.
